      HOW TO SUBMIT

Invisible Publishing is committed to working with writers who might not ordinarily be published and distributed commercially.

Submissions by e-mail are encouraged. They will be given priority because it's good for the environment, and more convenient to access.
If, however, you are very romantic and enjoy trips to the post office, your mail submission must include a self-addressed stamped envelope. A reply will not be sent without one, unless an e-mail is provided. Mailed manuscripts will not be returned.

      Submissions must include the following:
      - A dated query letter.
      - CV. Please include all educational experience and previous publications in CV. Your job history is not mandatory.
      - Author's statement/synopsis. This statement will describe the intention of the author and a synopsis of the work submitted. We ask the letter not exceed one page, however one sentence will not do the trick because you are not a celebrity. Statements may be as formal or informal as the authors themselves.
Invisible Publishing encourages emotional honesty and is interested in you as a person as well as your work.
      - The first chapter of your manuscript.
      - The best chapter of your manuscript. Please take into account conflict, characterization, voice, dialogue, unity, strength of prose, and grammar. Consider that this chapter should make Invisible Publishing want to -- no, NEED to -- publish your manuscript.
      - Under no circumstances send an entire novel to Invisible Publishing. We will review your work submitted to us, and if interested will ask for more.
      - Those hoping to have work included in a collection must note the project's title (e.g.The Art of Trespassing)

Invisible Publishing is currently accepting literary manuscript submissions; works of fiction and creative nonfiction. All narrative works with contemporary themes will be considered, however, we are not generally interested in poetry, genre fiction or YA projects.

Invisible Publishing is an intimately-run independent publisher. Please allow sufficient time to receive response for your submission.

That being said, if you send it, we'll read it. Show us your stuff.
